This guide is for teachers and account owners who are setting up or managing their school or university's Connie account. A few minutes here will make the experience smoother for everyone on your team and for your students.
Where to find the account settings
1. Log in to your account
If you have both a school account and a personal Connie account, make sure you are logging in to the right one.
2. Go to Student Accounts
Click on Student Accounts in the left-hand menu.
3. Open the Settings tab
Click the Settings tab in the menu bar at the top. All the options below are found here.
What you can manage
After changing any setting, scroll down and click Save changes to make sure nothing gets lost.

Domain Restrictions
We recommend setting a domain restriction for your signup link. This makes sure that only people with your school or university's email address can create an account linked to your institution.
Student Group Label
If your institution has different programmes, departments, or regions, you can ask students to select theirs when they sign up. In this field, write the type of grouping you would like to use. Leave it empty to disable this option.

Student Groups
Once you have set a label, enter the individual groups here, one per line. When students sign up, they will pick from this list and their chosen group becomes the name of their account/company name.

Leave empty to disable.
Backup Email Address
Want a PDF copy of every issued contract sent somewhere automatically? Add an email address here and it will receive a copy each time a contract is issued. A simple way to keep records without any extra effort.
Template Permissions
Decide whether students can use Connie's ready-made templates, build their own contracts from scratch, or both. If you prefer to keep things focused, you can limit students to your institution's own templates while still letting them make adjustments as needed.
Connie Visibility
Here you can control two things. First, decide whether your students can see and use the Connie support widget inside the app. If you turn it off, students will not have direct access to our support chat. Second, choose whether your students should receive Connie's onboarding and marketing emails. Check or uncheck the boxes to set your preferences.
Student's Contact Information
Enter the contact details of the person students should reach out to with questions about Connie at your institution. These details will be visible to your students, so make sure it is someone who is happy to help.

Custom Terms of Use
If your institution has its own terms of use, you can upload them here. Anyone signing up through your institution's Connie link will be asked to agree to them before getting started. This is completely optional but gives you an extra layer of control if you need it.
