Time to get organized! Connie gives you two tools to structure your contracts: β€œProject Categories” and β€œProjects”. Think of "Project Categories" as big folders (like 1st Semester or Productions). Inside each folder, you can create specific "Projects" (like Documentary Short Film). You can create new project categories and new projects whenever you need them.

Create a new project category:

Enter the β€œProjects” tab on the left sidebar and select the β€œProject Categories” tab on the upper side of the page. To create a new project category, click on β€œAdd Project Category” and insert a project category name and description. Click β€œSave” to create the new category. Now you can create new projects within this category.

Create a new Project

You are still in the β€œProjects” tab on the upper side of the page and click on β€œCreate New Project”. Now enter a β€œProject Name”, select a β€œProject Category”, and write a short β€œProject Description”. Then you have the option to chose a β€œStarting and End Date” for your project and if needed you can also enter a β€œProject Reference” (e.g. internal project number). In a next step you can clarify who is the default issuer. The β€œIssuing Company” is your school or university and the β€œDefault Issuer” is you, if there are no specific regulations from your school/university on that.

In a last step you have to manage the β€œProject Permissions”. This means, who will be able to access this project. If you are working alone on the project then make it β€œPrivate to You”. In case you are working in a team chose β€œFull Team Access”. Then you can later on add people to your team, who can also access and manage contracts within this project. Click β€œCreate Project” and you have successfully created your first project.
