The Benefits of Sharing Templates with Your Students

As a teacher at a Connie partner school or university, you can easily share contract, agreement, or form templates with your students. This way, they’ll know exactly which template to use and how to structure their documents. Just create your template, hit share, and make the most of your educational partnership!

Create Your Template

Start with creating your own template by selecting the tab “Templates” on the left side of your Connie dashboard. Then choose “Add Contract Template”, by clicking on one of the marked fields. Now you can edit the contract template draft. Either insert text from an existing text document on your computer or write the template from scratch.

Use “Smart Tags" to automatically fill fields with information already provided (e.g., your institution’s address, contract date) or create fields that need to be completed during the signing process (e.g., usage details, signer information). Choose your template settings, including who needs to sign (only the signer or also the issuer or additional people), whether the contract has an expiration date, and the eligible age group for signatures. You can also add custom questions for the signer.

In the next step, set access permissions for your template. The first option grants access to everyone in your institution, which is necessary if students need to use the template. Finally, click “Save and Publish”. The template is now ready to use and can be shared with your students.

Share Your Template with Students

Once you’ve created your templates, go to the "Student Accounts" tab. You’ll see your templates listed under "Template Sharing". To share a template, click the three dots on the right side. You can choose to share, unshare, or make it editable/non-editable for your students. The status will update immediately, and your students will have access to the shared templates!
