What Are Templates?
Templates on Connie are pre-formatted documents or agreements designed to save you time and effort. They serve as a foundation for creating new contracts or files, ensuring consistency and efficiency in your workflow. By setting up a template once, you can reuse it whenever you need to create a similar document.
When to Use Templates
Templates are ideal for:
Standard Agreements: Use templates for contracts or agreements that follow a consistent structure, such as NDAs, service agreements, or employment contracts.
Frequently Used Documents: If you regularly create similar documents, templates help streamline the process.
Creating and Using Templates
How to Create a Template
To create your template on Connie enter the template section and set it up from scratch. Remember to use SmartTags and layout options.
SmartTags let you handle dynamic content like “Signer Name” or “Signer Phone” and can be used to create checkboxes, text fields, image upload fields, number fields (e.g., salaries or social security numbers), and more.
Adjust the layout using different headline and text styles, and add elements like page breaks, internal notes, single- or multi-select options, and tables.
For detailed instructions, take a look at our manual on creating a template.
Using a Template
Once you’ve created a template, you can easily use it when setting up a SignPage or document. During the creation process, simply select the Choose template option. You’ll still have the flexibility to edit and adjust the template before finalizing your SignPage or sending the document for signature.
