What are internal notes?
Internal notes help guide colleagues, explain tricky clauses, or flag sections, making sure contracts are filled out and reviewed correctly before sending. You can create internal notes in the editor when setting up a Documents, SignPage, or Template. Only your team will see the internal note. This is a very helpful way to make sure your Documents, Templates, and SignPages are used in the right way by those issuing it.

Written guide
There are two ways to add an internal note in the editor.
Option 1: use the layout menu.
Click the insert button in the layout menu and select 'Internal note'. The note will appear in your document wherever your cursor is placed.
Option 2: use the slash command.
Type / directly in the editor and start typing 'internal note'. Select it from the dropdown that appears.
This feature is perfect for highlighting or drawing attention to specific parts of your document. As the name suggests, an internal note is visible only to your team and won’t appear when you issue the contract.
