Edit a project

This article explains how to edit an existing project in Connie, including its details, access settings, and advanced options.

Projects are the main way you organise your work in Connie. Once a project is set up, you can go back and edit it at any time, whether you need to update the project details, adjust who has access, or change which templates are available.

If you haven't created a project yet, take a look at this guide on how to create your first project.

Step-by-step guide

1. Go to Projects

Click Projects in the left-hand menu.

2. Open the project you want to edit

Find the project in your overview and open it.

3. Open the project settings

Click the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner.

4. Edit the project details

You can update the following:

  • Project cover image (optional)

  • Project name

  • Project folder – move the project to a different folder if needed

  • Project owner – the person responsible for this project

  • Project description

  • Project period (optional)

5. Manage project access

Decide who can access this project:

  • Private to you – only you can see it

  • Full team access – everyone on your team can access it

  • Private to selected members and collaborators – choose who has access manually

6. Manage template availability

Decide which templates can be used in this project:

  • All templates – every template in your account can be used

  • Let me choose – select specific templates or folders

7. Manage advanced settings

Here you can update:

  • Issuing company – the company issuing contracts in this project by default

  • Default signer – the default issuer for contracts in this project

  • Project metadata / project reference – a project number, job ID, or similar

8. Click Save

You find the save button in the upper right corner of your screen. Your changes are applied immediately.
