Permissions explained: Manage projects

This article explains how the Manage project permission works in Connie and how to assign it.

By default, team members can view and access the projects they have been invited to, but cannot create new projects or edit existing ones. To give a team member this ability, you need to assign them the Manage projects permission.

Plan requirements

Managing user permissions is available on the Studio and Professional plans. On other plans, only the account owner can manage the team.

What team members can do

Team members with the Manage project permission can:

  • Create new projects

  • Edit projects they have access to

Team members without the Manage project permission can:

  • Access and view projects they have been invited to

  • Create and edit documents and SignPages within a project, if they also have the Manage contracts permission

How to assign the "Manage project" permission

You need to be either the account owner or a team member with the Manage team permission to do this.

1. Enter the settings

Click Settings in the left-hand menu, then click Our Team.

2. Find the team member you want to update

Click the three dots next to their name.

3. Open their settings

Tick the Manage project checkbox.

4. Click Save.

The team member can now create and edit projects on your account.

Tips & tricks

  • The Manage projects permission does not automatically give access to all projects on the account. Team members can only edit projects they have been given access to. See Manage project access for more details.
