In Connie, you can collect and store signatures in four ways: by issuing an individual document to one or more named signers, by setting up a SignPage for documents that many people need to sign, by uploading a finished PDF for signature, or by uploading and storing a document that was signed outside Connie.
Individual document – you know exactly who will sign it and you send it directly to them
SignPage – you publish the document once and collect signatures from many people via a shared link or QR code
PDF upload – you have a finished document ready to sign and want to send it out without editing it in Connie
Upload and store – you have a document that was signed outside Connie and want to store it securely alongside your other Project documents
All of these documents life inside a Project. If you have not created a Project yet, start here.
Issue an individual document
Use this when you are sending a contract or document to one or more specific people – an employment contract, a co-production agreement, or similar.
See Collecting signatures for one individual contract for a full step-by-step guide.
Set up a SignPage
Use this when you have one document that many people need to sign individually – consent forms, extras agreements, NDAs, or similar. You publish it once and share a link or QR code.
See Collecting signatures with a SignPage for a full step-by-step guide.
Get a signature on an uploaded PDF
If you have a finished PDF that needs signing, you can upload it to Connie and send it out directly. Keep in mind that the file cannot be edited once uploaded and form fields cannot be added – the document needs to be complete before you upload it.
See Collecting signatures for a PDF on Connie for more details on this option.
Upload and store a signed document
If a document was signed outside Connie – for example with a handwritten signature – you can upload it to store it alongside your other Project documents. Supported file types are PDF, PNG, JPG, GIF, and WEBP.
See Upload and store a document of Connie for more details on this option.
Not sure which one to use?
A simple rule of thumb:
If you know exactly who is signing and when, issue an individual document.
If you are collecting signatures for one document from a group of people, use a SignPage.
If you already have a finished pdf document ready to go, upload it as a PDF and send it out for signature.
If a document was signed outside Connie, upload and store it to keep everything in one place.
